Privacy policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026 — Pawloumi attaches importance to protecting personal information. This policy explains in general terms what information may be collected when you use our site, why it is used, with whom it may be shared, and what choices may be available to you.

1. Personal information protection officer

The person responsible for the protection of personal information for Pawloumi is: Personal Information Protection Officer of Laceez, email: pawloumi@nanocorp.app, address: Québec, Québec, Canada. Requests concerning personal information can be sent to this person or role.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on your use of the site, we may collect in particular: first and last name; email address; billing address; shipping address; phone number; order-related information; communications with our customer service; answers voluntarily provided in the Pawloumi quiz; language preferences; technical information related to the use of the site; IP address and device or browser information where collected by our systems or providers; and choices relating to marketing communications and cookies. Payment information may be processed directly by our payment provider. We do not seek to retain full payment card numbers in our own systems when processing is handled by a specialized provider.

3. Why we use this information

Personal information may be used to: process and fulfill orders; arrange delivery; communicate about an order; provide customer service; manage returns and refunds; prevent or detect certain fraudulent activities; personalize certain features, in particular quiz recommendations; improve the operation and experience of the site; comply with our legal obligations; and send commercial communications where the required consent has been obtained or where another applicable legal basis allows.

4. Sharing with service providers

We may share certain information with providers who help us operate Pawloumi, for example: payment providers; delivery services; hosting and technical infrastructure; email services; customer service tools; analytics and measurement tools, when enabled; and advertising platforms, where their use is authorized and the necessary consents have been obtained. We seek to limit sharing to the information reasonably necessary for the services concerned.

5. Transfer or processing outside Québec

Some service providers may process or store personal information outside Québec or Canada. Where applicable legislation requires it, Pawloumi takes the necessary steps before such sharing or use.

6. Retention

Personal information is kept only for the time reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting, contractual, or fraud-prevention obligations. It is then destroyed or anonymized where required and appropriate.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, or alteration. No computer system can however guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable laws and your situation, you may in particular have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you or its rectification, and to exercise other rights provided by legislation. To exercise a right or ask a question: pawloumi@nanocorp.app. We may need to reasonably verify your identity before processing certain requests.

9. Email marketing

We send commercial communications in accordance with applicable rules. Where your consent is required, we ask for it before sending. Marketing communications include an unsubscribe mechanism. Transactional communications necessary for an order, such as order confirmations or delivery information, are separate from promotional communications.

10. Minors

Pawloumi does not intentionally seek to collect personal information from young children through its store. If you believe information has been collected inappropriately, contact us.

11. Cookies

Cookies are small files or similar technologies used by websites to enable certain features, remember certain preferences and, depending on the tools enabled, measure site usage. Necessary cookies contribute to the essential operation of the site, including the cart, certain security functions, essential preferences, or the ordering process. Functional cookies may remember certain preferences, such as the selected language. Analytics tools, when enabled and permitted, may help us understand in aggregate how visitors use the site and which pages need improvement. If Pawloumi later uses technologies such as advertising pixels or tools, their use will be configured in accordance with applicable requirements, including consent where required. Where required, Pawloumi provides a mechanism to accept, refuse, or manage certain categories of non-essential cookies. You can also change certain preferences in your browser. Refusing certain non-essential cookies should not prevent essential store functions, although some features may be affected.

12. Newsletter and commercial communications

When you voluntarily sign up for Pawloumi marketing communications, we may send you news, tips, new products, or offers. Signing up for promotional communications must not be a condition of purchase where the law does not allow it. Each electronic commercial communication includes the identification information and unsubscribe mechanism required by applicable legislation. You can withdraw your consent to marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link included in them. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent Pawloumi from sending communications necessary to fulfill an order.

13. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable requirements. The last update date appears at the top of the page.
